Jess Buddemeyer, LCSW-C
Owner and Clinical Director
My name is Jess, and I’m a Licensed Certified Social Worker–Clinical (LCSW-C). For more than 15 years, I’ve had the privilege of working in addiction treatment, helping individuals navigate the challenges of substance use and discover that lasting recovery is possible.
One of the things that has remained constant throughout my career is my belief that every person deserves to be treated with dignity, compassion, and respect. When you walk through our doors, I don’t see a diagnosis or a set of circumstances—I see a person with a unique story, incredible strength, and the potential to heal. Humanizing every individual who entrusts us with their care is at the heart of everything I do.
As Owner and Clinical Director, I strive to create a safe, welcoming environment where people feel heard, supported, and empowered. I believe that healing happens through genuine connection, evidence-based treatment, and a personalized approach that recognizes every recovery journey is different. Together with our clinical team, I’m committed to providing care that addresses the whole person—not just addiction.
Outside of work, you’ll often find me spending time with my family, getting lost in a good book, or caring for my ever-growing collection of plants. Those simple joys remind me of the importance of growth, patience, and nurturing—qualities that I believe are just as essential in recovery.
Meet our leadership team—dedicated professionals guiding our mission, overseeing clinical care, and supporting the day-to-day operations of our program
George Buddemeyer, LCSW-C
Owner and Executive Director
My name is George, and I serve as the Executive Director of Mindful Recovery Group. I am a Licensed Certified Social Worker- Clinical (LCSW-C) and have more than 10 years of experience working in the behavioral health and addiction treatment field, and my work is deeply rooted in both program management and personal experience. That combination has shaped the way I lead—with empathy, understanding, and a genuine respect for every person’s journey.
I believe recovery is not a straight line, and I understand firsthand how complex and deeply personal that journey can be. Because of that, I strive to lead with openness, flexibility, and compassion. My goal is to help create an environment where people feel safe, supported, and never judged—no matter where they are starting from.
At Mindful Recovery Group, I focus on making sure our organization remains centered on the people we serve. That means building a culture where care is individualized, communication is honest, and every person who walks through our doors is treated with dignity and humanity.
One of the most important parts of my role is supporting both our clients and our team so that we can provide the highest level of care possible. I believe strong leadership means listening, adapting, and always remembering that real people are at the center of everything we do.
When I am not working, I enjoy hanging out with my kids, and getting out on the disc golf course whenever I can. Those moments help keep me grounded and remind me of the importance of balance, connection, and presence in everyday life.
